Kim Delaney embarrassed herself and her admirers and created a scene at the Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center. The event in honor of former defense secretary Robert Gates saw Delany rambling on about her involvement in military duty all of which made no sense. Her slurred speech soon became incoherent. An uncomfortable silence was the only response from the audience. Despite a teleprompter Delany failed to deliver. This is too bad because she is gorgeous and a wonderful actress and her NYPD Blue show in the 1990s was one of the best police dramas on television in decades.
Not the First Time
Celebrities have time and again been charged with alcohol and drug addiction and Delaney is no exception. In 2002 she was arrested for drunk driving. She also had a record for substance abuse.
